# Python for FEM Design API

Is it still recommended to use Python for the FEM-Design API?  
I didn’t manage to set it up

Hi @Joost !

We are not recommending to use Python if you are planning to invest time in FEM-Design API 🙂

Theoretically, you should be able to use PythonNet or IronPython to run our .dll but it supposed to be use for expert users.

Unfortunately, we do not have resources to invest in the Python package and we can not provide supports for it.
